San Francisco, CA based PathWrangler is excited to announce that it has completed its seed investment from DG Elmore. This seed funding will allow PathWrangler to rapidly accelerate development and bring its first product to market in early 2011. DG will also be bringing his talents to PathWrangler as an active advisor.
DG Elmore is currently the founder and chairman of Elmore Companies in Bloomington, IN. He brings over twenty-five years of entrepreneurial experience growing early-stage businesses as well as a deep intimacy with software and travel industries. He has an infectious passion for developing leaders, entrepreneurs and building industry-leading companies.
In the travel industry, DG is currently the owner and chairman of Gant Travel Management, a firm that serves the travel needs of corporate clients. It is ranked in the top-25 largest travel management companies in the United States. He is chairman and part owner of Cornerstone Information Systems, a market leader in software that automates costly manual aspects of reservation management, as well as a way to manage travel programs more effectively. He is chairman and part owner of Velo Vacations, a tour operator that markets and produces cycling vacations in France. In the past, he was Vice President of First Family of Travel, the largest tour operator in the United States in the 1980’s. David G. Elmore owned the company and it included such well known names as Olson Travelworld, Island Holidays, Hawaiian Holidays, General Tours, Russian Travel Bureau and Safaris.
Outside of the travel industry he is involved in a number of other successful business ventures. He is chairman and part owner of Decision Tree Resources, Inc, who provide businesses on-site temporary staffing for seminars, meetings conferences, corporate events, conventions and product promotions. He is chairman and part owner of Solution Tree, which publishes materials and produces conferences for educators. It is the leading for-profit publisher in the education industry. He is chairman and part owner of Adams and Westlake, a manufacturer of parts for the transportation industry as well as the US Military. He is also the owner of two minor league baseball teams: the Helena Brewers and the Bakersfield Blaze.
DG is a volunteer on the Board of Directors for the Navigators an international Christian organization. He also regularly guest lectures at Indiana University in the areas of Sports and Management.
DG got an accounting degree from SMU in 1980 and in 1984 received his law degree and Masters in Business from Indiana University.
DG lives in Bloomington, IN, is married to his wife Virginia and has 6 children: Hillary, Lauren, Gant, Callie, Trent and Brock.
